Goulash

Beef goulash is another of those recipes that sounds disgusting but tastes delicious.  We eat this very frequently during the fall and winter because it's the perfect cold-weather food.  Suck it up and try it, even if the sound of it grosses you out.  You'll thank me later.

Ingredients:

1 pound lean hamburger meat
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 cup macaroni, cooked
4 slices American cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Cook the macaroni according to the instructions on the package.

Brown the hamburger meat and onion.  Add the ketchup, water, and chili powder and allow to cook together for 5-10 minutes or until meat is fully cooked.  Stir in the cooked macaroni.

Check seasonings.  Add more ketchup or chili powder as needed.

Place the cheese slices on top of the mixture.  Cover and allow the cheese to melt.
