Mom's Cornbread

Mom's cornbread is the stuff of legends.  It's perfect, and there's not much else I can say about it.  I will be kind enough to share the recipe with you.

Ingredients:

1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup milk
1 egg lightly beaten
1/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Beat egg.  Mix dry ingredients and add milk.  Pour mixture in a heavily greased cast iron skillet and bake in a 400-degree oven until brown (20-25 minutes).
